true.. there's no sex, he just wants to eat and sleep and I make him sleep on the sofa every night. he can be a bit messy and noisy sometimes. conversationally, it can be a bit one-sided.

it's not unlike being married, as I recall..

Well, not being a youngster any more, lol, i'd say i have about 5 best friends. All come from varying times in my life - some have been friends for over 20 years and some for 3 or more years.
We are friends because we have shared good and bad times together - giving us memories and shared experiences.

In my book true friends can share their woes with you but always still ask how YOU are. Honesty and thoughtfulness are the two main qualities of a best friend!
