Travel Insurance?
Since when did travel insurance become an issue? At first I thought another way to control us and make us spend money. Kind of like a helmut when you ride a bicycle. Next thing you know, you will get a ticket if, when pulled over, you are not wearing your green tennis shoes. I know it extreme, but if we keep giving up our rights, it will be some form of that. But then we buys cars, not because of how good they are, but because of how well they survive a crash.

Well that means that if you exercise the right to go to another country without travel insurance and have an accident which:
a) leads you to needing medical treatment which in the US could run into 7 figures
b) and if that accident were your fault and you caused someone else injury/damage - ditto as to amount
would you claim it was your 'right' not to pay?
'Rights' go with obligations.

Holy smokes, it was just a question. I didn't mean to sidestep responsibility, nor accountability. I mistakenly crossed 2 subjects. I believe you should insure to protect yourself, your home, your vehicle, and , of course all the others you may harm on your trip. Excuse me while I go to the test-only center to smog test my truck, for twice the amount everyone else pays. Oh yea, and pay my uninsured motorist policy for the guy that hit my truck that I must fix myself so my rates don't go up even though I have a 25 year perfect record. I guess I am just in a bad mood right now. Sorry for the off-subject post. America, gotta love it.
