When I try to unistall the above with `add/remove` I get a window which says it doesn`t exist and can`t be removed although I have been using it for several months to make CD`s from tapes. Why is this, and how can I remove it please?. The reason I want to remove it is because there appears to be a bug in the programme, and can`t convert half the tracks to CD. TIA

install over the top of the old

see if that gives the uninstall option ....
if not ..
delete the folder from my programs ...
reboot
and reinstall

may or may not work

if you are confident you could try searching the registry and removing all keys .... but only if you know what you are doing (back it up first).

Hi AC, I don`t have a folder called `My Programmes` only My Documents and `My Computer` and have tried both--- to no avail. How Do I search the registry etc?

Go to My computer and klik on Local Disk c:\ program files is there.

start by re-installing the prog ....
it may even offer to modify or uninstall at that point

just overwrite the old install ... see if it works

if not

find the icon you open the program with
right click .... and from the menu select properties
the window will show you where the prog is hiding

in XP
look in c:\PROGRAM FILES\something else
or in Vista
C:\PROGRAMS\something else

look for the folder ,,, and delete it

I think your second question means you'd probably be better not playing in the registry unless there is no other choice --- the registry doesn't have undo - so if you make a mistake ... that's it

just try the above ... come back if no joy

I have solved the problem by registering with itunes, and now every thing is o.k. Thanks all.
