Re - Lump in breast
13 Answers
Unfortunately, even with all your good wishes, it is not good news, my lump turned out to be a cancerous tumour and I have to have a mastectomy on the 11th of March. After the initial shock I now feel quite positive and consider myself lucky that I found it sooner rather than later. Anyway thanks again. Kath. XXXXX

I did reply to your other thread wishing you well.
Unfortunately, i got bad news as you did a year ago. I did not want to post and say that yesterday as it may have worried you. I had a partial mastectomy and am fully recovered.
I wish you the very best. I stayed positive and I hope you can too. You sound like you are strong enough. It is not as bad as people think. Like you, my Surgeon considered me to be very lucky to have it detected so early. Please keep in touch. xxxx

lucky you to have caught it so quickly - it won't be too long before you are well and wondering what all the fuss has been about - great attitude and that's what counts - when I was having radio and chemo my crazy cousin kept ringing to ask if I was having my 'cabbage juice' today' - don't ask as I also have no idea what she was talking about - but we were both in hysterics over it and this passed onto the hospital staff who said they looked forward to my session as it was so much fun for them! Keep laughing and all will be well. xxx
I would just like to say a big thankyou to you all for your very welcome comments and good wishes. I think I have amazed myself about how I am feeling, I think maybe I am just glad to know what it finally is and I must say I have had the best 2 nights sleep since I first found the lump, I don't know how long I will feel like this, maybe as the time nears for the operation I may fall to pieces but then again I may not. I have been told by my youngest daughter (age 37) that I will have to change my AB username to kitty1titty, that had us all creased up with laughter, at least she isn't moping about it. So thanks again just for being there. Love Kath. XXXXXXXXX
