i watched Sky's coverage of the Real Madrid v Liverpool match and i have to say i was very disappointed in their coverage.

(1) They bleated on constantly about the fact Benitez has not yet signed a new contract and how he might be leaving despite being told several times that the stories are rubbish

i would have thought that a tremendous win in the bernabeu against the world's biggest club who had won 9 straight would have been worthy of just a little more praise? not sky.

(2) Andy Gray put the fact that Liverpool won down to the fact that Madrid were poor, yes they were but maybe they were made to look poor by a very organized disciplined Liverpool, praise Mr Gray? not Andy.

(3) Much is made that Liverpool cannot win without Gerrard- he played for the last 5 mins last night- did sky mention this? nope.

It took Joe Cole a Chelsea player to praise Liverpool probably out of embarrassment at the likes of Richard Keys trying to find any hole to pick with Liverpool.

it is all fine and dandy criticising the club but maybe when they get a great result last night sky could put their bitterness aside for one night and give a smidgen of praise? after all Liverpool are one of England's representatives in Europe

Bravo mudflap!

The bloke who annoys me is their post-match interviewer who not only asks the most inane questions, but kisses Ferguson's a*se whenever he interviews him.

If that had been Utd or Chelsea who had got that result, we wouldn't have heard the end of it.

You should have turned the volume down or off.
Personally I couldn't give a toss about Liverpool or Chelsea.
It was much the same on SS Extra - at half time, David Platt said how poor Juventus were and Chelsea should go on to win comfortably, but after the 2nd half, he was saying that Chelsea had no chance in Turin and Juve were a hell of a team, despite Cech not making a save in the 2nd half.
17 days ago I didn't think we'd beat Villa or Juve.
Unfortunately that's Sky for you, a club either has to be hyped up or hyped down, there can be no middle ground.

The actual game commentators on Sky are OK but the people they have in the studio are generally idiots.
