A long time ago I watched a film real late one night on bbc2 I think....it was about a babysitter, who kept getting phone calls and knocks at the door from this guy who claimed to be watching her from outside...

......anyways, long story short the dude turned out to be a master of disguise, he kidnaps one of the kids she was watching and it turns out that he wasn't actually outside at all, he was behind the couch and was projecting his voice to make is seem like he was on the phone....the move then skipped a few years to when the girl was at college or something....and she came back to an appartment and the same dude was there, only hiding in the wall having painted bricks on himself so he was camo'd and doing the voice projection thingy.........

.....apologies for the real brief discription, but I'm a bit pushed for time. Does anyone remember this movie? If so can you tell me the name of it cause I can't for remember for anything! lol!

Sounds like 'When A Stranger Calls', he keeps calling the babysitter and saying 'Have you checked the children?' He's in the house and has already killed them.

Gave me nightmares as a nipper.

never seen this film but someone told me the story (of course it was a true story) when I was babysitting years ago and it freaks me out if anyone says "check the children", am going to have to pluck up the courage to see the film now.

Sounds like a "ghost story" told at an 11 year old's sleepover. I'd still love to see it, though!
