Has anyone seen the film yet?  Is it worth seeing for more than the value of perving on Martin Freeman for a couple of hours?  Stars out of 5 please!

...next friday? ...so that will give you pleanty of time to read the books first...the books are fantastic, I read them way back in the 80s , during the bbc2 tv adaptation of the original radio plays...now usually films of books are always dissapointing , hopefully because Douglas Adams was involved in the making of the film (before his untimely  death), it should be a good 'un ... but then again it may not be...to be on the safe side take a towel with you when you go see it...

I agree with ermintrude - I read the books back in the 80s after seeing the TV series and was hooked.  I've just started re-reading them before the film comes out.  I think I'll find it strange seeing the film 'cos I remember the TV series so well and the characterisation for that was fantastic.

Right you are too! I honestly thought it was already out! D'oh!  I too have read the books, but it was a while ago.  Perhaps I shall try to grab a copy and re-read.  As they say... never judge a book by its movie!

I've been a fan since I read the books in the early 80's and then saw the series.

I've seen trailers and to be honest I'm impressed.

Saw the film yesterday and absolutely loved it. Would give it 5 out of 5...very, very funny indeed. A must see!
