Fiesta Zetec Heater

the heater for my ford fiesta zetec has just gone for the third time, it lasted about a month this time, its proving costly to keep replacing it in teh garage (about 75 quid with labour) does anyone have a solution to this problem? its the valve that goes apparently, can i change it myself? thanks

Did you not contact Fords when the First one was faulty? I would be inclined to contact their Customer Support and explain what you have posted, have you got all receipts for proof? If so fight your case.

If you get no joy with your dealer then you can obtain one of these at any scrappers for a couple of quid. Dead easy to change with two pipes in on the engine side and two more on the heater side and one electrical connection. 30 mins work and your done. PS. don't forget to bleed your cooling system once you've put everything back together.
