Hi I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but thought I would start here....
My Husband has lost his National Insurance number and I havn't a clue how we find out what it is. He needs it to apply for a medical card as we have moved abroad.
He only ever worked for one company and they have now closed down so we can't get it through them and he has misplaced his P60!!
Any ideas would be appreciated, Thanks

The only thing I can think of, is for your husband to telephone the UK Works and Pensions Department, explain the problem, and give them his full name, last UK address, and date of birth. They should hopefully then be able to trace his N. I. Number.

Excellent, Thank You both for your help
You'll need to contact HMRC rather than Jobcentre Plus because we'll not be able to tell yir husband what his number was even if we knew it and he'll be telt to contact HMRC..
