Hair Dye

I am naturally dark blonde but I dye my hair jet black, but the colour only lasts a couple of weeks. Can anyone recommend a colour for me or should I just go to the salon ?

Have you tried Manic Panic? I used to use it on mine - not such a dark shade but it lasted a good time for me.

If you are using a permanant colour it should last, or are you using semi-permanent which will come out after a few washes?

I think it's a permanent one. My friend was telling me DIY hair dye's screw your hair up and make it really fine. She said I need to use a hot oil treatment every four weeks and get it done at the salon.
