Poorly cat again.

Hello there. My cat Orwell seems to be ill again. He does not seem to want to go outside anymore, so we have had to get him a cat litter box. He has had the runs for a while, but that seems to be getting better. But the bit i am concerned with is his eyes. At the moment he keeps using his inner eyelid, it is permently there now, 1/2 eye, 1/2 eye lid. I usually get a little salt water to clean his eyes, which has worked everytime till now. Does anyone have any ideas what this is/how I could treat it/Should I take him to the vet? Thank you. X

Yes, you should take him to the vet. The vet is the only person who can give you a diagnosis. Please don't delay.

the inner eyelid appears when there is weight loss the fat pad behind the eye starts to shrink cauing the eye to sink further back allowing the eyelid to become visible it could be somthing as simple as worms but i would get him to the vets and get him checked over in case its something not so simple

Urgent visit to vet is required, it sounds as if your cat is really very ill.

Agree with the others - get him to a vet. It could be something very simple but he needs attention

Thank you to everyone who answered. He is a lot more spritly now, and seems to be his old self again. We have swaped his usual food. His eyes are still odd but they look a lot better, we shall take him to the vets about that, but he is better. Thank you very much. X
