The thing is, my Mum was always a vivacious, happy woman, but is now depressed. The start of their marriage was fine; Mum could handle it. But with him getting so much worse, she is a meek, unhappy mess.
I know it's situational depression & removing oneself from the situation would help. But Mum is from the generation that you just don't do that. Money is not a problem, so if she did leave him they would be no worries there.
I just don't know what to do. I hate seeing Mum so miserable. I took her to the Dr, & she's now on anti-depressants. She won't come to my house even for an afternoon as she doesn't like to leave him she says. It might hurt his feeling she says!!!!
Any suggestions - please?
