Can anyone tell me how to deal with 'broken links'? on my computer.Thanks

Hello VHG--When I click on a certain website on desktop,instead of opening it straight away I get this message on the screen----''Oops,the link to this site (address etc) appears to be broken.'' Then it takes ages to open .Have used computers for years but never had this problem! Just want to know what to do next.

It means that the address saved in your link is no longer valid (probably because you linked to a specific page that has since been removed). Go to the home page of the site, create a new link and delete the old one.
