Retrieving lost files ???

I think I already know the answer to this, but if you had a file which was stored (only) on a floppy disk, which you then delete by accident - and empty the trash bin, is there any way of retrieving it from the depths of your hard drive ?? ...

.... or is it a case that as it was never stored on the PC, it's totally and absolutely gone ?

As long as you haven't written any more files onto the floppy disk you have a very good chance of recovering the file from the floppy disk itself.

There are a lot of utilities to recover deleted files - here  are a few.
