insurance claim
my mum who is 75 left the bath taps running upstairs and it overflowed causing bad water damage to the kitchen below. she has house and contents insurance does anyone know if she would be able to make a claim to cover the repairs ?

Otherwise she should be able to as most companies would consider it escape of water from a fixture. But some may resist. If the claim is refused invoke the complaints procedure and go all the way to the Ombudsman. It won't cost anything and the chances of success are high.
