question on neighbour building conservatory
My neighbour has started building a conservatory. I cannot see directly what they are doing but judging by the noise it sounds like they are constructing it on my house wall. Are they allowed to do this without my permission? What if they damage my house?

I would also imagine they would need planning permission or at least Building Regs. If they have not served a Party Wall Award and you did not sign an agreement then you can legally stop them from doing any more work by taking out an injunction until such time all paperwork is in place.
Party Wall Act? - maybe - but only if they are working right up to the boundary.
Planning Permission? - probably not - it depends what size / orientation / Conservation Area etc.
Building Regs? - not unless the structure is > 30 square metres in floor area, or they are removing the external doors of the existing house that lead into the conservatory.
