but.. I'm having a grumble! just looked into a summer holiday. �350 a week for a titchy flat.. nearly a grand on a return flight for 4 of us (me, the boy, Gray and her friend) before we even start eating..going out..visiting attractions, etc.. how am I supposed to afford it? but going out in England is hideously expensive too - so what do I do with two bored kids for six weeks...?

Its cheaper to go abroad these days Hippy.

Turkey is the cheapest place , or Tunisia ..
no � or $ ..both hot places ..both cheaper
than here for holidays ..otherwise go camping
in the UK.. if you talk to friends they all have
the camping gear ..just borrow it ..so
a real bonding family time .

I agree about the camping, hippyhoppy. The more who go, the merrier - and if you don't fancy it yourself, and the children are old enough - let THEM go camping. They'll love it.
