Your surprise setter, Mr E Guest chose the theme of 'Photography' for his first set of 4 words in the first game of March, but did you all snap up the points as intended?

I can now reveal that his chosen links were:

Did anyone stick a pin in it and get the whole lot?

There was a real crush of paparazzi when the gates opened at 9am but the first photographer to capture a hit was Slaney at 9:03. In fact she must have had a stereo camera because she snapped up both LENS HOOD and PHOTO COPY for two points each. Those 4 points therefore make Slaney

Lysander was within two minutes to pick up a bonus point for 'Lens Hood' and miss meg similarly picked up a bonus for 'Photo Copy'.

Still at 9:03 am, Grenmus pricked up 2 points with PINHOLE CAMERA, and here I'll give sarumite a quick mention for a near miss when he stuck his pin in the wrong link word.

I thought it was going to be a good week with three links spotted in the first three minutes but it was not to be. It was over an hour later before devadiva put her finger on the last link and left her mark as a FINGER PRINT for the final match and 2 points.

Aquagility has the honour of being a double-hitter but far too late for any bonus points. Just three others picked up single points in what turned out to be a rather low-scoring game.

The results table therefore looks like this:

Apologies for the slight delay in posting. My brother was on the phone and I am a great-uncle (for the second time). My nephew and his wife had a boy today 17 days earlier than expected. 6 lb 6 oz - fit and healthy.

I was my usual "no idea" self!!!!!!! but one day........................
