DS cheat cartridge.
I was going to buy my son one of those cartridges that hold 50 games for the DS console, it will save me an absolute forturne. A friend of mine at work has told me it broke her daughters DS as there was a virus attached to the cartridge. Is this possible?

I have been using one of these for the last year or two, with no problems whatsoever:

All you do is put a MicroSD card into the cartridge, put the cart into the DS, switch on then off.
Put the SD card into your PC, create a folder called "Games" (or whatever you want to call it), then download the games you want, put them into the Games folder, put the SD card back into the cart and into the DS, switch on and play away.
Chances of getting a virus is highly improbable.....

Cant say i've ever heard of these "fake" cards, either!
Nintendo, or any other console company (Sony, MS), couldnt sell an item which would purposely break your machine - that would be illegal.
All these companies are p*ssed that smaller pirate companies make and sell these carts.....they do what they can to get these smaller companies shut down / to stop trading, etc, but there's no way Nintendo could possibly make a card which would cause harm to your DS (or whatever you use).
Shop with a reputable company (like the link i provided above) - like i said, never had a problem in the past and HIGHLY doubt i will get one in the future.
Playing DS, SNES, NES games on the DS is easy and fun! :)
