What is the criteria for a motor vehicle to obtain 'Historic Vehicle Status' (free road tax). I have been asked this question by a friend and I am not sure of the answer.
Thanks for any help. Regards Phil

correct answer, so many people think over 25 years old is exempt.
"so many people think over 25 years old is exempt"

This is because prior to the 1998 Budget which froze the date at 1973 there had existed a rolling 25 year exemption for Historic Vehicle Status.
