VW GOLF Instruments

The instruments (mph,rev,oil,fuel)  on my 1996 Golf 1.4 SE work intermitently depending on how fast i m going. Also the radio stops working over 10mph and the air bang light is now constantly on. Other wise the car runs perfectly. Could and one please help?.

This sounds like a shorting out, electrical problem of sorts.  I only find that things like this are best to be checked by an auto electrician, who generally know exactly what the fault is over the phone to begin with, which will save you the aggro of going round the garages. Either this or take it into VW dealers, may cost a leg or arm but if anyone knows they will.

I would locate the fusebox and check the earth from the fusebox.  For so many things to go wrong it will either be the main feed into the fusebox or the earth from the fusebox.
