I am the non resident parent and have recently applied to the CSA to take on my case.
I have a current consent order but have been told that I can now apply to the CSA.

They have contacted my ex wife ( the parent with care) to ask her agreement and she has said no as she is currently getting more under the consent order!! Surely this cant be right...If she had applied Im pretty sure they wouldnt call be to ask my permission!! any ideas??

Hi Black Noir, I did think they had done away with the CSA, anyway, it might be wise to repost this in Law or even family, as the experts in this sort of thing tend to frequent those topics, but you may get good replies here anyway i suppose.
CSA patments are not as high as they once were... my partner has recently gone through this as we were pleasantly surprised as to how little the csa take out even if you are a high earner!

so no wonder your wife does not want to go through the csa.. as regards her having the right to refuse. i can not answer that, but i think it is wrong as she should be made to as you say, you would have no option if it were her wanting the money from you.

good luck.
