i didnt with mine. I did top and tail wash them and bums and faces were washed more than once a day anyway lol
I did up until they were about 3 and out of nappies, then i switched to every second night - but now, I still get them to wash their hands and face and then do their bits with a baby wipe before bed and when they get up in the morning and they are now 8 and 7! They have 1 bath and 2 or 3 showers a week depending on what they are doing - e.g. football, swimming etc.
no i bathed my baby every other day from birth, she is 7 now and its still every other night unless she gets dirty playing,

they actually advise a top and tail wash with new borns untill you feel comfortable and your baby is comfortable in the bath, some take to it some dont, its a personall choice really, with my first i was shown how to bath her by the midwife the day after she was born, i was so scared to do it when i got home but i did as i thought i had to!!! now i reaslise that there are other ways to wash your baby if you dont feel confident straight away with the bath.
I would probably bathe mine everyday, is this not a good thing to do?
its up to you how often you do it velvet. It can be a bit difficult at first. bath cradles are handy though if you struggle.

you dont need to wash their hair every day as they dont produce a lot of oil
I was actually advised by the MW and HV not to bath my baby more than a couple of times a week, I was told it can dry their skin out ,and its not like they do a lot in the early days, so they don't get very dirty. I did top n tail her though - at least once a day with water and many, many times a day with baby wipes!

thanks for all your answers!
I bath my little girl a couple of times a week but clean her with baby wipes every nappy change, and her face and hands every day with water.

Can you use baby wipes on hands and face? Just wondered if it would be ok if she licked her hands or face after wiping with baby wipes.
well my little one will eat a wetwipe if she finds it and shes come to no harm lol. I use the huggies pure ones so they dont have baby lotion on our aything which may taste horrible.
i bath my 8 month old every 2 days unless she gets really messy with food.

when she was first born it was a couple of times a week with olive oil in the bath as she had really flakey skin and I only wet her hair once a week because she had a scab the whole right side of her scalp from delivery
I always use the unscented baby wipes, but i use them with water (and soap) as disposable face cloths. That way after they wash their hands and face, the can use the cloth to wash their "bits" and throw it away. Probably not very "green", but I hate having face cloths hanging around. When they were younger and I used a top and tail bowl - I just had different coloured sponges for each end.
I use tesco scented baby wipes everywhere! My daughter is a sicky baby so we get through loads. She will also try to eat the wipes, she doesn't seem to mind the taste and they haven't done her any harm, but her breath smells lovely lol!!
lol my nephew used to suck on johnsons wipes! terrible i know, but the midwife said to take it off him but really wouldnt do any harm!

they smell lovely tho im not suprised babies want to eat them!!!
both my children were bathed every day, right from babies, and to this day they still bath or shower every day.
when they were babies I found a bath helped them sleep a night. It was an easy routine to get into and has continued.
I agree with elaine; after a bath then feed a baby sends to go off to sleep quite quickly and for a good stretch. it also gets them used to water at an early age. I washed young babies in the washbasin!
I bath my 10 week old most nights as it seems to help her drop off to sleep. She loves it in the bath though, I wouldn't do it so often if it stressed her out. I wash her hair at every bath too, as she has a LOT. And believe it or not, it does look greasy quickly as its very fine.
I bathed my son every night from birth untill he was three, now its most nights. bath bottle and bed is the best routine always slept well.
