Hi, hoping someone can give me an answer! I'm updating our company website and want to put lots of pics of people enjoying our services - it's a recording studio! We have hen parties, kids' parties, live music nights, bands recording, team building etc.

None of the pics are of scantily clad people, and none are compromising in any way!

Do I have to get explicit permission from everyone in the photos? No one will be identified at all, but their faces are shown.

Particularly wondering about the kids- I've asked verbal permission at the parties for us to use the pics for promotion.

I've taken all the photos except for one set, and I'd ask that photographer's permission.

What's the legal situation here?

Not sure legal situation on adults but I am almost certain that written permission by minors parents has to be sought for pictures of kids to be taken in the first place. I don't think you have to ask permission of adults, I think the photos belong to the photographer because of copywright laws etc. but it maybe adviseable to get everybodies permission to cover yourself and its just good manners. Hope this helps
