I am going on a family holiday to the USA (Florida) in October. My daughters child passport expires in March 2010. She will be 11 by then. Would I have to appy for a renewal or will it still be valid to enter the USA? Many thanks in advance

Assuming that your daughter holds a British passport, there will be no need to renew it prior to travel. (The USA has a general rule that passports should be valid for 6 months. However there's also an agreement with the UK that the validity of all British passports is automatically extended for 6 months, which effectively cancels out the normal 6 month rule).
