For anyone who lives here - they will be as shocked as I am right now, because there hasn't been a murder here in donkeys years. Apparently a 17-year-old youth was stabbed in the underpass last night.

When something like that happens somewhere like this, you know that violent knife crime is definitely getting out of hand.

Where is this going to end ffs???

Thank you Lexie for the link.

So it would seem that the suspects are not indigenous!
there was a murder in York a few years ago in the next street to where I was then living - worse still it turned out I knew the guy who'd done it!!
I thought he was an okay sort but turned out he'd been off his head on drugs and killed this guy he'd met in the local pub, for money to buy more drugs!!

Drugs, religion, racial tension. Usually one of the three culprits.

But this trend with youths carrying knives has got to stop !!

hi
he died at 10.30 this morning
he was meant to go to birmingham but didnt make it
and the girl he was with isnt his girlfriend
it was completely unprovoked and discusting
and the people that knew him dont want people to have bitchy conversations because its disrespectful

(im sorry im coming accross as rude btw. i dont mean to be...)
What's up Doc?
Look, guys, this is far from being rocket science as to why there are so many violent incidents, especially involving weapons:

THERE IS NO REALISTIC DETERRENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The scum who perpetrate such atrocities do so simply because what's the worst that's liable to happen even if they're actually convicted of taking another human being's life?? A few years inside an institution more cushy than a holiday camp?

The PC Brigade would see to it that capital punishment is never reintroduced. However, if only we had, for example, corporal punishment in the form of public flogging, I'd put money on the crime rate plummeting! (That'll impress the wishy washy liberals, won't it?)

The fact is that by NOT having an effective deterrent in place, violent crime will continue to spiral out of control and the murders of innocent people will continue unabated.

I have little doubt that the peep-toed sandle merchants will be horrified at the mere suggestion that any physical punishment should even be breathed, let alone introduced, and would try to claim that such measures would only "brutalise" these "misunderstood" individuals.

But in the meantime, the murders will continue, even in places like sleepy little Hereford.

Ever had that sense of deja vu and hopelessness?
