Quiet - possessions are fleeting.

the pic's my son and my neice drew for me! i love all of them! i keep all of them in a binder. i protect all them with plastic.

A very rare old book, a valuable first edition bequeathed to me by a friend who is gone from this world now. This book (Witchcraft, Magic and Alchemy by Grillot de Givry) is fascinating and is illustrated with pictures that both fascinated and terrified me as a child.
My photos, my childrens birth certificates, hospital ID bracelets and baby hand prints, Baby Beans doll, CDs, books and tool box which has all my craft stuff in it.

For years I wanted a cowboy hat to wear when I'm bricklaying in warm weather.  Last year I found a cowboy type hat in Majorca (costing 12 euros) which I absolutely love.  I keep it out of site under a coffee table next to my chair so I can whip it out and put it on whenever I want to (usually when I see someone on the telly wearing a similar kind of hat!)  My wife is adamant that it's not going on holiday with me but I don't think she knows how much I want to take it with me.

Another item of mine would be a present which my youngest daughter gave me for Christmas 2002.  It's like a little clay greetings card with tiny little brass hinges to allow it to open and close and it makes a lovely "snappy" sound when you close it.  The outside is green and there's a stickie-out black and white football on the front with the words "footie mad dad," and the inside says simply "You're top of the league Dad!"  It can't have cost more than a quid but it means the world to me and I would hate to lose it.

Finally, my last choice would be a six inch high clay model which one of my workmates made.  It looks nothing like me, but there's absolutely no doubt it's supposed to be me when you see all the jokey references to myself, such as the 'L' plate on my back, the bowlegs and gigantic bottle of tippex.

my books my crystal ball and tarot cards..the rest is just stuff that can be replaced..
My books and washing machine.
My Jacuzzi.
Graemer - would that be Gordon's Bay next to Coogee, Sydney???

Soozmac, spot on, looking out to Wedding Cake island (Immortalised by Midnight Oil).Do you know it?

my clothes, shoes, bags and accessories.

My engagement ring.  It's bespoke so irreplaceable.
my cd's
yes, I know it well. I lived in Coogee (Dudley Street, next to the nunnery) for 5 months. My man and I used to sunbathe at Gordon's Bay (I hasten to add that we're not nudies!), as we preferred the flat rocks to the sand. I'm now back in my native Glasgow, staring out at the cloudy sky and missing my life in Coogee more than anything. That and Cherry Ripes!
Sky Plus! it rocks!
I think the only thing i couldn't destroy would be my photos seeing as i wouldn't be able to get them back...things i can't buy anymore basically!

Soozmac what a small world. Sometime those nudies nearly make me drop my telescope! I'll enjoy a cherryripe for you.

Thanks all for an interesting collection of things too.

I have the Holy Grail buried under a pyramid in my back garden, but don't tell anyone
