An unexpected windfall?
3 Answers
Puddi's post has reminded me of the following.
When I married mr.c, we pooled our cash into a joint bank account. I realised he had been over-paying an insurance. He'd taken out a policy to pay him a certain amount of cash every month, should he become unemployed.
He had requested to pay a one-off yearly payment for the whole premium, but the bank was paying out the premium every month! My hubby didn't bother much about checking his bank account in those days (still doesn't) and he hadn't realised this.
I was annoyed about it, but it was great when we got all the over-payment back, with interest and a small payout as compensation for the error.
Anyhoo, my question is - have you ever had an unexpected windfall?
