free pet advertising?

Hi, any one know of any sites where I can advertise my Parrot....free to good home....? Loot charges too much! I do not want any money for her....just a good home, surely there is somewhere I can advertise for free?

Not too sure about sites but why not try:
The notice board of your vet or pet shop?
The intranet at work?
Your local paper?

Maybe you should give more details on here...eg type of parrot, why you're giving it away, cage etc etc...and where you live !!!

there is a magazine called cage and aviary,it comes out every thursday,you can advertise in that for free.This is a nationwide mag so you will be inundated i expect.

Hi, no grs...she is not a grey...she is a proven female Sun Conure. She is only 2 years old, but lost her mate about 3 months ago, since then I have tried so hard to comfort her, but although she loves me or should I say because she loves me....all she does is scream, every time I leave the room or the house all hell breaks loose!..I live in rented property and the neighbours are starting to complain. So I am looking for an experienced bird owner who can either bond with her or provide a mate for her. I'm in Essex btw....just in case any one is interested in taking her on.

See if there is a freecycle group for Essex, although some groups do not accept pet adverts.

Google freecycle and you will get details of how to find a group in your area.

Hi, thanks for all your ideas....I will try them all. No ummm she doesn't talk, but does 'give kisses', dances, screams at certain songs when you tell her to sing and hangs upsidedown from your finger!!!! She's a lovely bird and will make a great companion for someone with the time to bond with her.

You could try gifting her to an animal charity - they will carry out checks on any prospective new owners to make sure she is going to a good home, rather than to someone who is getting an animal on the "cheep" (sorry). xx
