Best price on Photo equipment

I am looking to buy a Nikon zoom lens for my d40slr
I have found a few places but they will not ship to France
saying its because of the guarantee this is rubbish cause the Nikon guarantee is world wide!I have seen prices in the UK �75 cheaper than here in France.May be some body has a good idea?

either pay the extra 75 quid (at least you can actually see and handle the lens before you get to it, and know it's not gonna get kicked around a post office floor somewhere) or combine a pleasure trip to the uk with shopping
