I know this sounds really daft, but my dog is a real inspiration to me. He was abandoned in an old Spanish town when he was just weeks old and roamed without food or shelter for about 8 weeks (according to the vet who first examined him). He was infested with every parasitic thing going and when finally rescued, he was pushed around from pillar to post as the foster families could only have him for a few days at a time. When I first had him, he wouldn't get in the car, because he associated that with abandonment. He chewed up everything from a car seat, to a brand new pair of prada shoes and gucci sunglasses. There were times when I cried and wondered if I would have to have him rehomed, but I stuck with him and he has now gone full circle. He is the most faithful companion and well-behaved little angel is could ever ask for!

I have lots of reasons NoMercy, but they don't belong on Chatterbank. Suffice it to say that I find the quiet times of the night a relief from the push and shove and unremitting noise of London, and I am reading Acts and asking myself "Is this all invented rubbish?" and answering myself No, and taking it from there.

Yes NoMercy, I have met her twice and she is adorable, much "smaller" in the flesh with the most dazzling smile and a wicked glint in her eye. She is trouble!

I met Tom Jones, Earth Wind and Fire and George Benson one night. They were staying at our hotel in Cyprus when Philip Green (BHS) had his massive birthday party there. There was an overspill of Celebrities up at the Anassa and so those guys had to stay at The Annabelle and we ended up drinking with them. I have never laughed so much in my life.
