Has anyone got a birthday, anniversary, holiday or just something pretty damn good to look forward to?

What are you expecting from this forthcoming date?

Sorry China - give us the postal address. Would you like us to start a thread with a gift list? x
As long as you're not a bull all should be well oh ziggady zaggady one!
Yes NoMercy, that would probably be appropriate... I'll work on my national anthem! :c)
im in china

whats the score?
My boyfriend is coming home from Iraq just before Easter - date not confirmed yet but I reckon that will be "pretty damn good" lol!
CAJ - that's great for you.

My wonderful fantastic beloved dad is 80 this saturday & we're having a big family party for him. Gobby here will be making the speech (!) and the wine will be flowing.

In June & July I'll be off with Cap'n Pug sailing round the south coast of Brittany & the Vendee for 3+ weeks. Nice...

And in Septmeber my best friend Lil is getting married - Gobby here is making a speech, again - but Lil doesn't know that - that will be a surprise indeed... hee hee.
I am going to Brighton ( Hi JJ ! ) 1st May for a wedding. I have never been to Brighton so have booked 4 days in a boutique hotel and will have a wonderful time exploring.
oh, and the youngest stepson & his girlfriend are expecting their first baby any day now. Well, the 29th to be precise - but you know how unpredictable babies can be....

Hello Salla, Naomi and CAJ1 - that all sounds like stuff to really look forward to.

CAJ1 - I'm sure you'll be very relieved when he is finally back on British soil. Your boyfriend is obviously very brave. I know quite a few squaddies here, with this being the home of the SAS. Mind you - you should see them on a Friday night! LOL

Naomi - 4 days in a Boutique hotel in Brighton? You lucky so and so! I could do with a few days pampering.

Salla - 3 weeks sailing around Nice. How lovely! I was in the Grenadines once, and we got on a lovely ship and sailed round the Tobago keys (1997). It was the very ship that was used in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy!!
Question Author
I meant Tobago Cays (pronounced Keys) - I'm always doing that!!! Duh....!
No Mercy - that sounds wonderful. The BF did a caribbean sail crewing, but I think that was back in the early 90's - how I envy him that. If I were he, I don't think I would have come back. (But then, he did go from there to live for 3 years in Paris and 1 in Normandy - so it's not quite on a par with coming back to rainy grey Blighty is it?!!)
I can't wait, I've suddenly thought of loads of things I need to do before he gets back though! And I'm stuck on ideas of what to get him as a wee well done gift!
My friend is having her hen weekend in Brighton around the 8th May and then there is her wedding the following month. That's something to look forward to.
