For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As with most essays start with what the questions is asking you, not what you think the question is asking you. Define the question: what do all the terms mean or you state what you interpret the terms to mean: what is quality? What is efficiency? Are they things you can measure and thus quantify? Try to be balanced (don't go just for the gut feeling) and justify your answer by citing real life examples (which means you will have to research it a bit). A little BS never hurt anybody but try not to fill it with too much padding. BTW I have no idea what the answer is but I guess if you run a tight ship you can improve quality, production and efficiency.
For a higher mark, maybe u could contact a local manufacturer (or whoever it would be easy to get an answer out of) and ask them what their cost-reduction, quality enhancement, and increased production experiences have been. As j2buttonsw said, it always helps to have some real-life evidence in essays.

If you really can't write and if you really haven't a clue how to start, this should sort you out! (J2B's answer is probably worth more than 2 stars.)

Evidence that you've looked into this would really help your mark. But don't forget about other means of quality in production - not always the quality of the product. Increasing production is basically to get people to come back to your business to give you more work - i.e they were staisfied the first time round. If problems arose in production, that caused grief for the customer - maybe they would still come back if they were given good service or a discount or if they had strong relationships with the company.
In Japanese companies especially the car industries there is a motto and it is roughly translated as "Constant Innovation". Another example, again from Japan, is the humble Walkman, basically the same set up but it is constantly being improved to the point now that with just one battery it is possible to run the machine for 40 hours. But most of these machines are made with a built in redundancy so you get high quality but there is a very definite time limit to this. The reason being that if the machine runs forever ....who is going to buy a new one to keep the company in business.
