Seafood Recipe
9 Answers
We have some bags of seafood in the freezer (prawns, crayfish, mussels) but not really good enough quality for salads or cold starters.
Does anyone have any ideas what we might do with it? Would a fish/seafood pie be possible? And if so, how would you make it?
TYIA for any help.

firstly defrost the prawns.
open a packet of vegatable cuppa soup and seive out all the croutons etc.
put soup powder with water in a pan and bring up to simmer point.
mix some corn flower to cold water and mix and slowly add to the pan until it is so thick you can almost pick it up in a oner.
Next take the prawns and fry them with a few diced onions and add salt and pepper to taste.
Then take a tin of heinz baked beans and seive it collecting all the beautiful sauce.
Add the beautiful sauce to the prawns and bring up the heat. Add a little corn flour but not a lot.
At this stage I would start making some mashed potatoes.
Take a oven bowl and pour in the prawns. Then smear the mashed potatoes (when making the mash you need to add a lot of milk and butter) over the prawns.
Then take the soup and smear it over the top of the potatoe.
Grate a bit of cheese on top and put in the oven on gas mark 5 for 25 minutes or so (but keep checking it doesnt burn).
A real treat for all the familly. Oh dear I have made myself feel rather peckish now..
