MM and KM Link Games March [Week 3]

Good evening Lucky Linkers, and Lurkers of the Shrubbery.

Week three of four is coming up and there is still everything to play for. In the MM game, we had a slow start to the month but last week the scoring picked up quite a bit and with any luck there will be a few more points on offer this weekend. It all depends on whether you can read the mind of our misterEguest who has revealed very little about himself until now. This week I believe he will reveal something about his location when he posts his Blog tomorrow morning. Will that help you to guess the links? Who knows?

Participants in he MM game will gather at 8:45 am and set off at 9:00am. (Be sure to arrive on time - you don't want to be playing 'catch up'.)
Also look out for the sister game of the KM Links (based on the Daily Telegraph GK Crossword) which can start at a very early hour and is managed by seekeerz from the antipodes.

The rest of this thread is now thrown open to the usual gang of conspirators and guests.

A googlie is an off break bowled with a leg break action (from a right hand bowler)
Sounds good doesn't it - but thats Alan's explanation!! (Not mine!!)

Can only say they made a real c0ck up Pauline, by leaving the field for "bad light" thinking they had won the match, when in practice they hadn't!!

It's all related to the Duckworth Lewis method of deciding a winning team in a match that's been shortened by bad light or rain etc.

It's so complicated that even the players don't understand it!! (S) ;O)

Hello everyone, once again it's swift visit. I am going to retire injured!!!!! Have pulled a muscle in my side and it's so painful it's making me feel sick. Am going to take some Ibuprofen and have a reasonably early night.
If it's a nice morning will get a lift to the Carboot sale so will be late with my link words but don't expect that will make any difference!!!!

As I have an arly start tomorrow...Laura's Boyfriend here, breakfasts to cook, rooms to clean, floors tt scrub, I am going tg go to bed soon. ....Been walking all through Lyme Park today...4 mile walk..so I need my beauty sleep!
