adult bed wetting and pooing while drunk...

is this 'normal'..? if you get me...

i mean does this signify some medical problem or anything - or just one of those things that happens occasionally...?

my friend seems to think that he should see a doctor but i'm inclined to think its just one of those things...
i looked online and it appears it quite common, especially in men...

in the past he has apparently also has got up and weed in the wardrobe, the telly etc etc ...he has only pooed once apparently....so is this just a kind of 'sleep disorder'...like sleep walking a talking...? he talks in his sleep too.

this only happens when hes been totally pist ...and not very often... but still...

any thoughts?

i'd say your friend would have to look at the problem he has with drinking first. why would someone frequently drink themselves into a state where they would wet or foul their bed???

I know of a man that does this and apparantly he has done it all his adult life.
He is a functioning alcoholic and never misses a days work.
He doent seem to know he has a problem, he will never give up the drink he says and he smokes like a chimney as well.

apparently it is fairly common when ****** no kno, according to the forums i have looked at....woudl you suggest he rush off to the doc an get loads of tests on his bowels or something then?

he also doesnt do it frequently...it is a rarity...once in the last 6 months... an only ever pooed once...

i would just like info on whether there is any health reasons for this please - nothing else

it is for some knowno, some people are very heavy sleepers especially if they are drunk, pooing may be less common but wetting themselves is definately a common thing, it doesnt affect everyone though

Your " friend " needs to see a specialist if hes "pooing " in his sleep , ... without sounding rude your "friends " have some unusual traits

to be fair he had been taking antibiotics which he said had given him tummy ache for a few days before, so don't know if that could have been a factor...

he does drink a lot when he goes on a night out.

so does no-one think its similar to sleep walking or talking?

in that the brain 'mechanism' that prevents us acting out our dreams, 'malfunctions' in sleepwalkers and talkers...could it be that the one that stops us weeing etc in our sleep malfunctions in him...?

I had a friend who was an alchoholic and this used to happen nearly every night with her, she went to AA and stopped drinking and it's never happened since so I would say drink is the problem here.

alcholic beverages are diaretics tell your friend to leave a pint or two of water by his bed remember to drink them when he gets in ... sounds funny I know drink water dont lag the bed !!! but the neutral water will balance out the alcholol and prevent the kidneys to want to expel the poisonous alcohol . added benifit to this less likley to have a killer hangover wont have a smelly bedroom , can invite a lady back find a girlfriend even there for feel less need to get ratted enough to ever defecate the bed . and he would have a greater self esteem this way as clearley any one who has get that wasted as a low opinion of them selves and realy needs your support as " friend "
