left it like that as there is an error in the crossword .4,3 is given but in grid there are just 6 spaces and the letters i have are R?L?E?

Hi ceilog - I'm sorry, but I don't have the puzzle, so can't help with your "spaces" problem...

...Hopefully, someone else will jump in with the solution! :-)

thanks for your help but i suspect the grid has been incorrectly printed as aral sea is probably the answer

In the on-line version the grid is 4,3 & Aral Sea works.
