It's part of Google maps.

See the golden man icon? If you click on him (and hold down your mouse button) and drag him to any location on the map (and the road has a blue highlight to it - try moving the icon to different parts of the map to see what I mean) and then drop him, you'll get a split screen of the Street View on top and the street map underneath. You can click between the two windows to change where you are looking or change location.

That tells you where has been done so far. Hope I've explained it OK for you, missprim.

No I still don't get it.When I clicked onto the link you gave me Judge, I was in Sydney and the orange man was there, but when I put in Manchester England, the map took me there but the man wasn't orange anymore and he didn't move.
Buenchico lists the 25 cities that Google names as being covered by Streetview. Strangely, there are other places that have Streetview but which aren't admitted to by Google. The small town of Kirriemuir, 15 miles north of Dundee in Scotland, is one of them.
Go to maps in google, type in an address and press enter. It will go to that address (marked as A) and a speech bubble should appear. Within that speech bubble it will have directions to here/from here and street view. Click on street view and ta dah!

Have tried that eash.Found my address, no speech bubble, but clicked onto streetview and it took me to a completely different part of the world!
if you go to your general area and then zoom out a fair bit then if you have a orange street view man it means that somewhere in the area you can see there is street view available.

then click and hold down the mouse button on the orange man and drag him over the map, the areas that have street view will be highlighted in blue after a couple of seconds, drag the man to one of these areas and release the mouse button to go into street view where you just dropped the little man.
Make sure you are up to date and that the streetview option is ticked.

Find an orange street in one of the cities mentioned, and zoom in to ground level. Spherical photo's should appear IF it has been mapped (you can tell from a trail of little cameras)
