The Halifax does an "Easycash" account & the Lloyds TSB do a basic bank account. Both have internet banking, standing order/direct debit facilities. You get a VISA Debit card with both, but no cheque book. Both accounts can accept & make transfers of all kinds ie CHAPS/BACS etc. The Halifax takes ages to set up but Lloyds is instant if you call in the bank.
Hi, Try Nationwide, i am on benefits (Jobseekers) and have bad credit, they opened a cash card basic account for me, not sure about the debit card though, good luck.
