Doesn't look like I'll be able to make it to work next week what with National Express East Anglia trains possibly striking on Monday and then the G20 protests for the rest of the week.
I temp too so only get paid for the hours I do.
Is there any way of being able to claim compensation for not being able to work due to circumstances that are not my fault and out of my control??

but who would you claim compensation from? unfortunately that will be your problem.

The only day the protests may cause you problems is Wednesday and that is more likely to be getting home from work, not in. After that the focus shifts from the City/Westend to the Excel Centre.

Well I hope if there are any problems that my timesheet will still get signed off for a full 40 hour week next week even though it could be less because of not getting to work etc.
However, I have just found out that the train strike on Monday has been suspended and if you're right Hazel I will only have problems getting home on that Wednesday.
I wondered really if I could get compensation from the train company but it doesn't really matter now.
Thanks for both your replies anyway :-)
