we are getting ridiculously high gas bills in our newly built home with state of the art plumbing/boilers etc. Does anyone know an equation for calculating what average fuel comsumption to expect based on square footage of a property/number of radiators etc? With this information I can work out if we have a genuine problem or not. Thanks

Hope that you haven't got caught like us with an ornamental open gas fire. We had horrendous bill until we were advised, have now had it disconnected.
May pay to get Gas Board to check consumption of each appliance for you or check yourself if able.
Im not sure about fuel consumption, but good insulation and Energy saving blinds have dramatically cut my heating bills down.
