Boys Dress-Up ideas - help!!!

My 8 year old son has been doing the topic of India at school and as an end of term treat, they are having an "India Day" where he has to dress up like an indian boy. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could dress him in that isn't too costly? He is adament that he wont go looking like "a girl"!!!!!!

To be honest in India the children will either be wearing normal western clothes - t shirts and shorts - or not very much at all in rural areas. You could do him in a pair of loose trousers and a collarless shirt with a waistcoat on top if you have one and sandals for his feet. or why not dress him up as a cricketer

Get him a wig-wam and some feathers on his head and that should do the trick.

guys - i do actually mean a boy from India, the country not as in cowboys and indians!!!!!!
