christine.....you seem to have had an exhaustive gynae investigation, but not a Urological one.

Perhaps a urologist would do a cystoscopy and urethroscopy, to eliminate any bladder abnormalities.

In direct answer to ypour question, I cannot see the relevance of he question unless he suspected a cystocoel (weakness of the vaginal wall) but he would obviously have picked that up during examination.

You can't go on like this, ask your GP if you could be refered to a Urologist.

Thanks sqad.............it was an urologist I saw..........also had a cystoscopy also negative
Right.....well it sounds as though you have chronic interstitial cystitis and your D. may have to consider low dose lontg term antibiotics.

Do you have pain on intercourse?
Do your attacks come on during menstuation?
What type of birth control do you use?

sqad...........thanks for replying...........sorry just come back from shopping.
would rather not answer those questions on here..............is there anyone on here that knows your email addy.they could send it to me and I could answer you that way
christine....I quite understand......no, unfotunately not.

???
i wonder whether the "trouble walking" question sprang from the possibility of nerve involvement causing the problems?

bednbs
I do have back problems..........but my dodtor wanted to find out first if it was the bladder causing the back probs or vice-versa.
Sqad IC has been mentioned but he did not think it severe enough to warrant continuous antibiotics
christine, that is a good suggestion by bednobs concerning the walking question.

However..Dr is best placed re. the start of long term, low dose. antibiotics.

Sorry I can't be of more help.
