My LCD Television had a strong smell of burning last night, so i unplugged everything and left it.
I went to put it on today and the power is going through to the TV, but the screen is totally blank.

Can anyone help explain what is wrong with my TV and can it be fixed?

Thank you

If your TV is still under warranty contact the supplier and request service. Don't plug it in to the mains or attempt to use it again until a service engineer has had a look at it. It could be a minor component which has burnt out, or more likely these days they will replace the whole TV under warranty.

agreed- don't use the set. could be a short on one of the outputs of the PSU, inverter most likely. leaving it on will probably stress more components, and make for a more expensive repair
