What a tiny world some of you people seem to inhabit. A quick Google on Recession brings up the following quotes:
Berlin: Germanys recession is getting worse, the finance ministry warned yesterday as a press report said the conglomerate ThyssenKrupp would shed more than 3,000 steel and manufacturing jobs.
France: They are increasingly fed up with an economic crisis that they feel has been foisted on them by an elite of bankers, bosses and political bunglers. And their anger is spilling into the streets.
United States: Tent cities reminiscent of the "Hoovervilles" of the Great Depression have been springing up in cities across the United States - from Reno in Nevada to Tampa in Florida - as foreclosures and redundancies force middle-class families from their homes.
Japan: Japanese trade with the outside world took what economists described as a horrific nosedive in February, with imports and exports plummeting by the sharpest monthly margins on record as the world stopped buying Japanese goods.
Presumably, VHG, you think Brown is responsible for all this too - or maybe you think that with a different government, the UK would somehow miraculously be the only major economy that avoided the problem?
