Why don't you make a suggestion AB Ed?

I'm fed up with my answers disappearing all the time but staying in my profile - that's no way to hold a viable debate. If there's a problem cannot it be made clear. Typing, typing, typing for nothing - should one persevere or give up. Suggestions please.

btw, I notice that my profile now says answers have been 'removed' rather than 'banned'. Great - thanks Ed, sounds much less draconian. (Have other ABers found the same?)

Likewise Artful, don't feel banned, just temporarily moved outside so you can smell the roses; you'll soon be back, and welcome.

But why do answers -  politely disagreeing - get banned.  Surely we can all have an opinion and it doesn't have to agree with others???

One of my answers disappeared before my very eyes, then suddenly reappeared! I give up!

I've just posted a question asking ABE If it would make his job and life easier if I left, Didwot answered and now the question's gone. This is the last straw.......

I think it was jno who said now his posts had been marked removed as opposed to banned; well mine are still banned and most of them appeared due to a technical hiccup.

no offence, Artful. On the summary in orange at the top of my profile it says removed, though I haven't trawled through the list to find if individual posts are still labelled banned; they probably are. I think all my posts that vanished have now unvanished; I assume as per AB Ed's pink notice that yours will be along soon - I don't recall that they were offensive or irrelevant, were they? Chin up - remember, things were much worse for your ancestors during the Black Death! Keep posting!

Artful it will still say Banned in the threads

In addition to wanting to help folk wi their questions I like to think that ma comments bring a wee bit light-heartedness to the topics. Unfortunately ABE does not appreciate ma chatty replies. ABE is the Boss and he makes the decisons but I am not sure I would be able only to give straightforward replies.

I will await ABE's reply to-morrow.

jno, why would offense have been taken at your remark? I have just looked and it is marked 'removed'. Thankyou for telling me where to look. What's the saying ? Less haste....?

TCL,   As long as we give answers to the questions then our personalities and method of delivery should not come into the equation, unless we are abusive.  Yes, some of us like to be a bit light hearted and some do not elaborate - it all adds to the richness of the site.

Artful, I just meant I wasn't taking offence at your remark, after you'd berated yourself for being rude! I know just how hard it can be to track down something you've read on AB. And I still say keep posting and I'll keep reading. Hope your posts reappear, if they haven't already.
