AB doesn't do chat, but if it did it would probably be the best chat room in the world. Agree???

No. The actual Qs and As are far more interesting than the constant whingeing about the AB Editor's malfeasance. Don't introduce a chatroom. (I said the opposite the other day, but I've changed my mind, the steady moaning is getting up my nose. Chill out, everyone.)
jno- have a few  Carlsbergs  and come back for a chat!!

hi jno hows the car? Good election what do you think a forth term possible?

I couldn't agree more, Jno. I've never visited one myself, but I understand the WWW is heaving with chat rooms. There even is - or was - one created specifically for members of AnswerBank. I'm sure that, if it is still operational, someone will provide the address for you, Netibiza. Leave AnswerBank to fulfil its stated purpose.

I think if we all met up on a chat room then we would soon get very fed up with each other  - the moments of fun we have on AB mix really well  with the serious questions.  As much as I moan, I think that the editing is really quite a good idea, it's just gone somewhat haywire at the moment.

I love the diversity we get on here.  We are all so different!  After all, we are allowed to chat quite a bit!!

Yes Answerbook still exists as New Answerbook and I enjoy it and have found some very good friends, but I also enjoy this site for different reasons.

I'm not saying that AB should have a chat room.  And I tried Answerbookers but couldn't get on with it.  I just like the disparaty of AB and all the different members - most feel like good friends.
I like it on here for the same reasons as FP and dear old netti!! XXX

No I do not agree. When I found this site I was happy with the Site Rules as I wanted to get away from chat sites. This site was perfect, according to the rules, which we all agreed to abide by.

This is not a chat site and should not become one. There are plenty of chat sites out there for people who wish to chat. There are fewer sites where you can post a question and get a reasonable answer.

I have seen user post a question which then gets turned into a chatty thread. Does anyone stop to think that the person who posted that question gets inundated with e-mails everytime there is a reply.

No one would dream of going into a private club and trying to force them to change the rules. Why do it here?

Are you trying to entice me to chat with you hung6?

I agree with you netibeza, what's on the agenda for tomorrow?

Question Author
hung6 - please read the question again!!! I was not suggesting for one minute that it should change, only that if AB did run a Chat room it would be pretty good, and didn't other ABers agree with the sentiment.
In which case netibiza how does that in any way, shape or form warrant a post in AB Suggestions?
