Thanks Davao I must say I favoured Rosin Julie
Def Resin!
My bees collected it from fir trees to make into propolis to seal the hives. Damn sticky stuff too.
Just looked up rosin in dict and is for turps and bows. THEN it spoils it and says alt name for resin BUT doesn't mention fir trees.
I always reckon it is resin with rosin for fiddle bows and ballet shoes...but what do I know ?....

I agree with Lady Alex.
RESIN
Rosin is the solid form of resin, so the answer has to be resin

I have to say I did eventually plump for resin thanks to all who contributed Julie
