why do why addapt our pets names to jiberish ?

why is it we start naming our pets crazy things example my cats are called fluff cat, smokey and minstrel
fluff often gets called mr fluff , fluffster.or fluffster woofster poofster lol
minstrel get called minstrel moo or minstrel moomins
and smokey gets smokey wokey or smokes or grey cat
why do we talk this jiberish when calling out to our pets

Maximillian is usually just Max, sometimes Manificent Max (not very often) or you F*****g Bad Boy (quite often) my niece still calls him Fluffybear from when he was a puppy

I think I must be mean to mine. I normally call the naughty one (ASBO), sh1tbag, ratbag, little ba$tard, fat boy, ya ginga menace and various other names. Although in fairness when he is good and sweet and affectionate, I do call him nice things.

My Jess gets called Poopie, in a silly childish voice....Can't seem to get the word out in my normal voice...lol
Poopie becomes Poopsie, Poopie-Doo, Poopie-Doo-Doo, Poopster.

"NO!" is also a frequent name.

I only use Jessie when I might have witnesses....lol

My old cat patch got called, lovebug, poopa, poopa scoopa, smell bell, tootleborough (if thats how you spell a made up name). Cupar gets called cupar cat, poopa (as well) poopsie coopsie and coopster. Margo gets called the magster, maggie, maggie waggie and fat cat. Sam who lives at my mums gets called, samuel peeps, sammy and sambo.

We have a spaniel called jarvis and he also gets called.... cocker.............or cocker poo...........cockerdoodle.........Babs (by the alpha male in the house).....babba....(again, from my other half).....or you little B4$t4rd (in an affectionate way) when he steals socks and dives under the table.........or hard boiled egg with the shell on and eats the lot!!!!!

Sisters dog is called barney.............or barney rubble........barney trouble........barney bubble..........chubba (when he filled out a bit) .........chubba bubba.........Barney Buble (as in michael)......barney bear...........

If i am walking Barney and he is hanging behind a bit...........i shout "come on Barney"....then end up singing Come on Barbie lets go party....in my head for the rest of the walk................aargggh

my dog is called daisy but she also gets called stink, stinky bum, days, crazy days, lazy days,boo, widdles, day day and yes she will come to all of them, sad i know!!
