Can anyone direct me to a car site that would be interested in buy my very sad to be losing Renault Megane Coupe fidgi car that is seven yrs old and unfortunately the cam belt has gone and is going to cost too much money to replace so would just like to get as much money as possible to get back on the road again, the inside and out is immaculate and I never thought I would get upset about losing a car, if you can advise me of a site to go on to advertise my car, it would be appreciated

what about going to a garage and getting a trade in?

would a salesman know that there was a problem with the car when the come out to value it?

i got �500 for a ford mondeo that was ancient and had 126000 miles on the clock. bought for �300 and shortly after was told it was a death trap so i was delighted when a garage gave me money for it

i also got a megane when i traded it in. once the �500 was taken off and all the negotiating was done i got an 05 plate car for �5500. I got it when it was 1 year old. and it had alloys, sunroof on the whole roof and loads of other accessories

Hi, just because the belt has snapped does not mean the end of the world for your car, a neighbour of mine has a problem with her Vectra I replaced the engine Inc Clutch Ass under �500, What damage has been done? Vavles? Pistons? have the been damaged? If so, look at getting a replacement engine, around �250--�300, with new belts (ALL) Oil filler, etc. you can get the lot done under �550 - �600, Look at that option first Carlybea do not rush about the problem, If you type in 247 Car Spares & type in your requirements it will give you address within the UK with the costs of the Replacent Unit + postage, If I can or anyone can help you with whats involved, ASK. thats what we are on here for.
